Compact voltage monitoring relays for threephase systems with or without neutral

LOVATO Electric expands its range of monitoring relays with the new PMV45N compact voltage monitoring relays.

They are suitable for three-phase systems with or without a neutral and are housed in a modular enclosure just one DIN module wide, making them ideal for installation in switchboards with limited space.

Two new models are available, both suitable for installation in systems with a rated voltage of 208…480VAC, 50/60 Hz, which differ in terms of programming methods and integrated functions

PMV45NA480 is a voltmeter relay with potentiometer configuration, incorporating monitoring for minimum and maximum voltage, phase loss, neutral loss and incorrect phase sequence

PMV45NA480NFC is a multifunctional voltage and frequency relay configurable via NFC technology and the LOVATO NFC app, available free of charge for Android and iOS devices. It incorporates all the voltage monitoring functions of the potentiometer-based version, plus monitoring of minimum and maximum frequency and asymmetry.
The integrated NFC connectivity not only ensures a modern and intuitive configuration method but also offers numerous advantages:

  • quick and easy programming, thanks to the app’s graphical interface, which displays functions and parameters with clear descriptions on the smartphone screen, without the need to consult the manual
  • integration of multiple protection functions into a single device, with the option to enable or disable specific functions individually, whilst maintaining the same dimensions
  • high precision, thanks to the digital setting of thresholds and response times
  • repeatability of settings, with the option to save the configuration on your smartphone so it can be copied instantly to other devices of the same model, without the risk of error (ideal for those carrying out batch programming)
  • settings protected by a 4-digit password, for complete protection against unauthorised changes.

Both models are fitted with 1 relay output with a changeover contact and a compact 17.5 mm wide housing (1 module), suitable for installation on a 35 mm DIN rail or via screws.
