LOVATO Electric has expanded its range of accessories for mushroom head pushbuttons with the launch of the LPXC01M auto-monitoring contact element, designed to ensure continuous supervision of emergency stop functionality in machinery and control systems.
Engineered specifically for latch-type mushroom head emergency pushbuttons, the LPXC01M actively verifies that your emergency stop is always ready to perform – even when it hasn’t been pressed.

The LPXC01M eliminates that risk.
This intelligent contact element continuously monitors the mechanical integrity and mounting condition of the mushroom head actuator, detecting:

How it works – built-in redundancy for maximum safety
The LPXC01M contains two series contacts designed to guarantee fail-safe performance:
1 Normally closed (NC) contact: Dedicated to the standard emergency stop command, activated when the mushroom pushbutton is pressed.
1 Normally open (NO) contact: This closes only when the contact element is correctly connected to the mounting adapter.
This configuration ensures that if the contact element becomes disconnected, the emergency stop is triggered automatically, a mounting anomaly is immediately detected, or safety is maintained regardless of pushbutton actuation.

• Up to 2 LPXC01M elements can be installed per mounting adapter or control station
• Compatible exclusively with latch mushroom head pushbutton actuators
• Plus up to 2 additional single contact elements
