ProfiNET is an Ethernet-based industrial communication protocol developed by PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI), which enables the fast and reliable exchange of data between controllers (PLCs), supervisory control systems (SCADA), HMIs, sensors, actuators, and measurement devices. It is designed for applications requiring real-time communication, advanced diagnostics, and simple integration between systems, and is widely used in the industrial automation, manufacturing, automotive and process sectors.

The EXP1019 is compatible with flush-mounted power analyzers type DMG7000, DMG7500, DMG8000 and DMG9000 and is primarily used in medium-to-high complexity machineryfeaturing a PLC or automation systems, or within particularly energy-intensive machines.

With the introduction of the EXP1019 module, LOVATO Electric is now able to offer a complete package comprising:

• simple integration of our measurement instruments within the ProfiNET network

Furthermore, for the most advanced power analyzers:

• power quality analysis, for detecting anomalies in the power supply network (e.g. micro-interruptions that can cause machinery malfunctions, not attributable to internal technical faults but to issues with the electricity grid)
• multi-point monitoring network with quick and easy cabling and a reduced number of devices thanks to the EASY BRANCH measurement system.
