Motor protection circuit breakers, contactors, push buttons, limit switches,  soft-starters, relays, digital multimeters and power factor regulators are just some of the products totally designed and produced by LOVATO Electric.
LOVATO Electric in Italy together with its 11 foreign Companies and 59 official distributors, is the reference point for the international distribution of LOVATO Electric products in over 88 Countries.

LOVATO Electric was set up in Bergamo with the aim of manufacturing air-break and oil-break switches.

1948

Transformation from the production of switches to that of bus-bar or terminal board contactors.

1960

Start of the production of one-piece contactors that were to gradually replace the bus-bar or terminal board versions.

1963

New factory (now central headquarters) in Gorle (BG) covering an area of 14,000m².

1975

Integration of the "historical" production of electromechanical components with electronic product lines.

1979

Opening of the first foreign LOVATO Electric  factory.

1992

Quality System certification in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

1999

Launch of the SM series, motor protection circuit breakers with thermal and magnetic trip releases.

2000

Opening of LOVATO Electric in Spain.
Purchase of the limit switches division business from the Reiter S.r.l. Company.

2001

Opening of LOVATO Electric in USA.
ACAE/LOVAG certification, per European EN 45001 standards, of our test laboratory.

2002

Obtained the Environment Management System certification according to ISO 14001 standard 
requirements and inauguration of the new R&D facility (3,500m²).

2003

Launch of the K series, position and safety limit switches.

2004

Launch of Modulo system of modular components for installation.

2005

Opening of LOVATO Elctric in Poland.

2006

Launch of Orange system of motor starting and power applications.

2007

Opening of LOVATO Electric in Canada.

2009

Launch of GA series, 16A to 125A switch disconnectors.

2010

Launch of DMG series, multimeters and power analyzers.
Beginning of the factory expansion work in Gorle (BG).
