As of firmware upgrade software no.10, the RGAM4… controllers
support the new “mutual standby” function which permits to
control a system with three power sources – Mains + two
emergency generating sets.
With this function, the two generating sets can step in as
backup one to the other in case of alarm conditions or
simultaneously distributing the running hours equally between
the two.
All this takes place with serial communications (RS232 or RS485)
between the two controllers so that each can keep track of the
status and the running hours of the other.
This function can be enabled using a few dedicated parameters in
the customised menu.
Once the “mutual standby” function is activated, the display
will view dedicated information pages summarising the system
status.
The system is designed also for the operation whenever one of
the two controllers switches off or inoperative or
communications breakdown.
