New pistol grip defeatable handle GAX66… for switch disconnectors

To complete its range of switch disconnectors, LOVATO Electric is introducing a new type of door coupling handle.
The ergonomics and the sturdiness of this handle are well appreciated when used with the high current rated switch disconnectors that involve important operating torque values when compared to the low rated types.
The new handle is available with a door-coupling function in red/yellow or grey/black colour arrangement and is defeatable in “I – ON” position, requirement per UL508A standards.
Main features of this handle include:
• Suitable for use with rear-mount 63-1250A switch disconnectors
• Padlockable lever handle
• IP65 degree of protection
• Maximum of 3 padlocks can be used and locked in “0 – OFF“ position
• Handle screw fixing on internal panel door surface with interaxis
compatible with those of main competitors
• Defeatable release at “I – ON” position, i.e. “means to defeat the interlock
without removing power and which requires the use of a tool to operate”
• Automatic reset of functionality when panel door is closed
• Suitable for use in switchboards per UL508A requirements.

DMG series digital multimeters
with auxiliary 12-48VDC power supply

LOVATO Electric has released the 12-48VDC supply version of the DMG series digital multimeters, DMG 800 and DMG900 types.
Available models are:

• DMG800 D048 with graphic LCD and expandable features
• DMG900 D048 with graphic touch-screen LCD and expandable features.

The only variant with regard to the AC powered models is the actual power supply; all the other operating aspects of the measurement inputs for voltage (20…830VAC) and for current by connection through current transformer with 1A or 5A secondary.
Using switching technology applied to the supply board, the tolerated voltage range is extended (9…70VDC) to allow the multimeters to be used in diverse applications. There is no need to choose different part numbers; the same multimeter can be installed in panels where auxiliary circuits are powered at 12VDC, 24VDC or 48VDC, with a wide margin when the actual power supply deviates, even in a continuous manner, from its rated value.

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTION
Which bulbs can be used with signal beacons?

ANSWER
The signal beacons, with exception of the FLASH version, are supplied with no light bulb.
The customer can thereby decide to use an incandescent filament or LED (Light Emitting Diode) type of bulb.
Should the customer choose an incandescent bulb, a BA15d fitting base can be possibly used.
For the LED bulbs, the requirements are a BA15d fitting base and that the actual LED layout diffuses the light beam sideways, that is through the beacon sides and not towards the top of it. For these reasons, it is recommended to install the LOVATO Electric LED bulbs, specifically developed for this particular use.
