The Central Motorway Concessionary Company  (SICE), seeking to obtain a communications and remote monitoring system for the generating sets, has integrated the LOVATO Electric RGK60 controllers, obtained through DARTEL.
This project began at the end of last year  with consultations  and evaluations related to the technical  capabilities of the RGK60 controller.
Subsequently, basic communications tests between the RGK60 controller and a PLC,  supplied by a third party, were carried out with successful results.  During all this work,  DARTEL provided all the assurance as for endorsement, guarantee, technical advising and  fulfillment of the final objective; DARTEL counted on the support of LOVATO Electric, Italy,  to accomplish this. 
The units were configured and put in service by the Technical  Department of DARTEL, under the supervision of their Electronic Engineer,  Mr. Gerardo Castro.
An important challenge for the success of this project, was to coordinate the answer time for communications between the RGK60 and the PLC; to do this, a work group, with LOVATO Electric, DARTEL and SICE, was set up.
Thanks to this project, the Central Motorway is now provided with a latest generation  of  communications  and monitoring system  for all  its generating sets.  It is worth emphasising how the added value of this project will maintain the high level of service and consent this motorway to be considered the most modern freeway of all South America.
